Exploring Flickr was created in August 2010 by a very bored and mediocre photographer.
The mediocre photographer had spent all summer exploring different photographers on Flickr in order to help her understand technique, composition, her camera and the photography community around the world.
Greatly inspired by the interesting photos she’d found on Flickr, she started posting sets of different artists on her personal tumblr, only to find this was making her gain an incredible amount of followers. Knowing that they’d quickly be disappointed by all the reblogging she usually did, the mediocre photographer decided to start a whole new tumblr to house all the fantastic photographs she wanted to share with the tumblr community.
